This Privacy Policy explains how the BreakTrace iOS application (“the App”), published by Waypoint Digital LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“Waypoint Digital,” “we,” “us”), handles information. The short version: BreakTrace collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no third-party trackers in the App.

1. Camera and LiDAR

BreakTrace uses your device’s camera and LiDAR sensor to display the live view and to measure the shape of the green in front of you. All of this processing happens on your device, in real time:

  • No photos or videos are recorded or saved.
  • Camera frames, LiDAR depth data, and the 3D scans built from them are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
  • Scan data exists only in the App’s memory during your session and is discarded when you start a new green or close the App.

2. Information stored on your device

The App stores your preferences (green speed, units, overlay style, and similar settings) and your tutorial progress in local storage on your device. This information never leaves your device and is deleted when you delete the App.

Diagnostic logs (session, scan, and solver events) are written to Apple’s unified logging system on your device for troubleshooting and can be viewed inside the App. They are not transmitted to us.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, receive, or store:

  • Names, email addresses, or any account information (the App has no accounts)
  • Location data
  • Photos, videos, or scan geometry
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data
  • Advertising identifiers

4. Purchases

If the App offers a subscription (“BreakTrace Pro”), the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We do not receive your name, payment details, or billing information. See Apple’s privacy policy for how Apple handles purchase data.

5. Beta testing (TestFlight)

If you use a beta version of the App through Apple’s TestFlight, Apple may provide us with crash logs, usage statistics, and feedback you choose to submit, as described in the TestFlight terms you accept with Apple. We use this information only to fix bugs and improve the App.

6. Support email

If you contact us at the support address, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use them only to respond to you and do not add you to any mailing list.

7. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date. The current version is always available in the App under Settings → Privacy Policy.
